Environment
We understand our responsibility towards the environment. In accordance with this it is our policy to encourage the recognition and the importance of respecting the environment and we realise that we have a duty to contribute to maintaining an ecological balance.
See below for some of the ways that we are trying to make a difference. If you would like to discuss with you how we can help your event become more environmentally friendly please get in touch with us here.
E&M Badging and Ticketing
We strongly urge the use of e-mail and mobile ticketing and badging for all of our events. This cuts down the use of paper and severely cuts down postage. To read more about these services, please go here.

Interchange Communications disposes of all office waste and hardware using companies that provide certification that items have been recycled or disposed of safely. Where possible, Interchange Communications buy in recycled goods
Scrap Disposals
All disposals of scrap equipment are to be handled through companies specialising in the recycling of metals and other materials. Those items such as cathode ray tubes, being of particular environmental hazard are disposed of through licensed specialists.
Consumable
The purchase of consumable products such as toner will be wherever possible recycled products.
Cleaning Materials
All materials will be biodegradable. All COSH and environmental data are available to all staff to minimise risk and misuse.
Company Cars
All petrol driven cars will run on unleaded fuel and must be maintained to a high standard to avoid environmental pollution. All vehicle acquisition takes into account CO2 emissions. Calls to customer sites are structured to minimise the amount of travel required, for example through the use of car sharing.
Electricity, Gas & Water
Interchange monitor & measure for improvements in the reduction in use of natural resources and energy supplies. All staff are responsible to be constantly vigilant and individually protect against over use of these resources and whenever & wherever possible are encouraged to:

- Use only as necessary.
- Use energy saving fluorescent lighting wherever possible.
- Use natural light where available.
